Domiciliary
Training We have an induction course that all employed carers attend to ensure that they are trained to the highest level to meet with CSCI standards. This includes training in care, manual handling, first aid, fire awareness, abuse, food hygiene and health and safety. If you haven't done care work before we will take our time to ensure that you are trained to a high standard of care and feel confident. For any clients with specific needs further training will be given. All employees will have the opportunity to receive free NVQII in Care training within 6 months of starting with us. Work Available We have two types of work available for care assistants; Domiciliary Care(HomeCare) and Live-In Care( if considering Domiciliary care you will need a car and mobile phone, for Live-In care it would be advantageous if you can drive with a current driving licence). Some of our Care Assistants do Live-In care and also Domiciliary Care when they do not have a Live-In client, it is up to you which you choose. We can help you decide which will suit you better. Wages Domiciliary care wages range from £7.00/hour on weekdays to £10.30+/hour at the week-end and we pay mileage from call to call. Live-In care staff pay is generally between £55 and £80 per day, depending on the client and their needs. The higher the level of care required the more you will be paid. Employment process Please contact us on 0844 499 6340 or e-mail: help@abicare.co.uk. We will have a chat over the telephone and explain further any information that you may require. At this stage we will establish which area of work you require, i.e. Domiciliary care or Live-in care. Your interview time will then be confirmed and an application form will be posted out to you. Should you be successful at your interview we will arrange for a criminal record check to be completed and schedule a time for you to be trained. Once we have received acceptable references/CRB check back and you have successfully completed our training courses you are then ready to be part of our team. We will then endeavour to match you with clients that would best suit your preferences, skill and availability.
